Seablue is a very dynamic and fast growing company established in Marseille for over 23 years. We import frozen seafood and vegetables from all over the world that we distribute to the Afro-Caribbean and Asian communities living in France and the rest of Europe. The company has around thirty employees, whose daily mission is to spread flavors from the other end of the planet to as many people as possible, by sourcing good, healthy and sustainable frozen seafood and land food products.

Mission

- Main role: Sales to the UK

Over the past few years, Seablue has built a strong and growing market in the UK selling frozen seafood and 'exotic' vegetables to Asian, African and Caribbean communities. The selected candidate will be undertaking various roles, from overlooking current accounts, establishing strong relationships with customers, taking orders, organizing deliveries, sending out e-newsletters and offers, issuing invoices, following receivables and plenty more. This is a unique opportunity to acquire a broad overview of the daily operations of an importer in the food industry. The specificities of our markets offer a wealth of opportunities to explore a wide variety of exotic products, in a very culturally diverse environment.

- Secondary role: International trade assistant

Seablue has an activity of cross trade, buying and selling whole containers to international markets across continents. The selected candidate will support our International trade manager helping with international logistic and sales administration.

Profil recherché

REQUIRED PROFILE

We are looking for a candidate:

- Fluent English / very comfortable both over the phone and by email.

- With good interpersonal skills and good communication skills, essential to any commercial activity.

- Who enjoys teamwork, but also knows how to work independently when necessary.

- Appreciating a multicultural work environment, both across our teams and our markets.

- Able to work under pressure, inherent to any commercial activity, with sometimes short deadlines.

- Accurate, detail-oriented and organized.

- Possessing the calculation skills required in commerce (cost calculation, margin calculation, etc.)

- Flexible and adaptable, capable of taking daily orders as well as discussing medium-term commercial strategy.

- With a spirit of initiative, capable of proposing new approaches to the problems we face on a daily basis.

- Knowledge/Experience in international logistic would be appreciated.

EXPERIENCE

We are looking for candidates with a strong attraction to commerce. Ideally a minimum of 2 years of experience.
